I’ve got big plans for this year. BIG plans.
Overall, I want to try to be more
OPEN.
Open to change. Open to people. Open to opportunities. Open to action.
I want to make better use of my time. Including whatever time I spend alone (I relish alone time).
(mark that down as “things I wish I knew when I was 18″)
I am…
- getting back on track & staying faithful to my fitness goals
- eating the way the doctor has told me I must (and understanding this is the only way for me)
- taking control of the CHAOS (Hello there, FlyBabies)
- following through.
- letting go of things that weigh me down (“Southern Snow Friendships“, things that are detrimental to my health & well-being)
- drinking more water.
I’ve got a good start.
Oklahoma girl through-and-through. Writer, aspiring domestic goddess and totalitarian dictator. Taking on the world one carb-induced coma at a time. Co-host of Picture Shows & Petticoats.

Alone time….love it! I’ve never understood those who turn their nose up to eating on your own or doing things by yourself. Sometimes a day to myself is just perfect.
Gotta think of a word now!
I loved that video!
My ideas for 2011 are very similar to yours, especially taking control of CHAOS! I have been receiving FlyLady emails for a bit now and I am definitely trying!
I have never heard of “Southern Snow Friendships”, I’ll have to look that up!
Oops! I meant to link to Miss Critty’s post about it. Look at my last Monday Morning Coffee. You’ll find it there!
Open. I like that. It sounds like a hope expectantly kind of word.
Some of those things on your list I need to work on too
Those are all great goals. I wish you the best in keeping them and having a prosperous new year.
Those are great goals! Good luck in sticking to them!
My biggest goal for the year is to eat healthier; I slack off way too much and eat “easy” food, instead of taking the time to prepare good food.
I love that video. I so enjoy alone time, but I usually sanction that time for just reading or writing. I am now inspired to do more, to sit on a bench and knit.
Sounds like a good plan to me. Let me know if/how I can be of help to you.
My plans…
Well, I’m getting back into being healthy as well.
*less junk
*taking vitamins
*regular exercise even if its only 10 minutes a day of pilates (I have to do something)
*bible reading every day
*more faithful blog posting
*following my skin-care routine
*planning ahead
*calling people more regularly
oh – and what does it mean by “southern snow friendships”?
What a great word for 2011. I love alone time but it seems to go by so fast! My goals for this year all comes down to having more passion in my life in any way that I can. Good luck on your goals! Happy New Year!
Key word for me was “action.” I’ve spent an awful lot of time THINKING about doing things… Thanks for the nudge in the right direction!
Love a little alone time. It’s good for ya.
You’ve got a great list, but my favorite on your list is “Open to Action”. Just added it to mine.
