I mentioned to a friend a few days ago that it takes me the same amount of time to recover from a vacation as the vacation lasts. So that’s where I’ve been for the past week. Recovering. Jolene was here visiting and we were all over this state for about a week. We had a great time, but it tuckered this girl out. Here’s just a quick look at what we were up to.

Watch for a couple posts highlighting our adventures!

The creek—-looks enticing!
It’s a great little place to enjoy on a very hot summer day. The springs spit out 65 degree water that I do not remember feeling THAT cold as a child. Funny how childhood can somehow make you forget the uncomfortable things. It was about 103 outside that day and whenever a cloud would cover the sun we would start to shiver.
In reference to Misti’s comment above, I was thinking the same thing about those biscuits and gravy!
Glad you had a great time, Elizabeth, and hoping you’ll find time to sufficiently recover. Take care!
Haha! The biscuits and gravy were TERRIBLY good.
I know some of those spots. No wonder you’re tuckered out. Sounds like a lot of fun though.~~Dee
Yes, we bounced all over the state, but changed our mind about a trip to Woodward for their rodeo…3 hours one way? Eep. Good times were had!
I’m right there with you on recovery time. At least this time around. I’m still sleeping in late (something I haven’t done all summer), and I’ve been highly unproductive this last week. I had so much fun, but I think maybe I’m getting old
!
I think it’s okay. At least, I’m telling myself that.
