Mom and I hit the road Sunday morning and headed northeast to Branson, Missouri, a long-time favorite of our family. I was excited to get away for a few days, spend time with my mom, and do a little shopping. What made this trip a little different was the guest that was accompanying me (no, not my mom) — the HTC’s Droid Incredible 4G LTE.

I was contacted a few weeks back about being a part of Verizon’s Wireless Ambassador program and jumped at the chance to check out this new phone. I’ve been a diehard iPhone user ever since I got mine (waaaay late in the game, by the way), but I was open to trying something new and seeing how it would fit into my life.
Taking the phone on the trip presented some new ways for me to use it other than how I would at home typically. The Google Maps application helped us locate a restaurant we were looking for more than once. It also suggested multiple retailers in the area that sold pottery (something my mom and I were both looking for on our trip).
By far, one of my favorite things about the phone is the audio and video capabilities. It captures and replays both with ease and the sound is great (huge improvement from my iPhone). The second night of our trip we went to a bluegrass gospel music concert put on by the Isaacs and I captured a little video there. Excuse the shakiness. That’s me trying to avoid that white hat.
Stay tuned for more posts on how I’m integrating this phone into my life and be sure to check out the #VZWA tag on Twitter to see how others are using this phone.
Thinking about switching to Verizon? They’re offering a great deal right now. Just text “VZWA” to 22699 to receive up to $50 off any 4G LTE Android Smartphone or Jetpack. Please note standard text rates apply.
