My Favorite Songs From Musicals — Part 3

The Farmer and The Cowman — Oklahoma!
Fact: Paw Paw is a farmer as well as a cowman. I love this song.

‘Til I Hear You Sing — Love Never Dies
Another one from the Phantom sequel that I adore. My favorite is the version by John Owen Jones (he’s also my favorite Phantom, for what it’s worth…PSST! Who is your favorite Phantom?), but you should definitely check out the performance from the Australian production.
Let hopes pass, let dreams pass
Let them die
Without you, what are they for?
I’ll always feel
No more than halfway real
Till I hear you sing once more

Singing In The Rain — Singing In The Rain
*sigh* That’s what being in love can do.

Hey Big Spender — Sweet Charity
Sassy. This one is so much fun to sing.

Caberet — Caberet
Originally I had “Willkommen” on this list, but couldn’t bring myself to post any of the videos. I like Judi Dench’s version.

Adelaide’s Lament — Guys & Dolls

Out Tonight — RENT

I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out Of My Hair — South Pacific

You’ll Never Walk Alone — Carousel

When I Look At You — The Scarlet Pimpernel
The critics would pan my taste, but as you can tell, I love Frank Wildhorn. This one is a little bit heartbreaking.
If you could look at me once more
With all the love you felt before-
If you and I could disappear into the past
And find that love we knew
I’d never take my eyes away from you

When I look at you
He is touching me
I would reach for him
But who can hold a memory
And love isn’t everything
That moonlight on the bed will melt away
Some day
